How
does Network Inventory 3.0 scan for Installed Applications
on remote computers?
The program scans the remote registry where
98% of programs are registered, this is the same place that
Control Panel Add/Remove Programs is reading from. This is
the most secure and best way to get a result. Many other programs
are scanning the computers on a file level and need to scan
through the whole hard disk before getting the results of
installed applications. This method takes too long time and
loads the computer for the user while Network Inventory 3.0
scans the registry with a load that the user is unaware of
and with a great speed.
