Creating a database

You can create a database on EMCO Network Inventory in two ways:

1. Scan a LAN and then save the results to a new file (refer to Saving LAN data for more information).

2. Create a new database, then scan the LAN. This method is described in this topic.

To create a database:

1. Click on the File > New menu option.

   

2. Enter the name of the database in the available field and click on the button.

3. You can now scan the LAN as required (refer to Saving LAN data for more information). The results will automatically be saved.
